RHR Farm is located in the mountains of southwest Virginia. We are near Byllesby Dam in Carroll County. Our homestead is a modest 5 bedroom 1-1/2 story farm house located on 6-1/4 acres.

About Our Farm

Here at River Hill Rescue Farm, we believe that all animals deserve a second chance at a good life. Most of our animals come from the animal shelter or a neighborhood recue. We even bought a horse that was in a kill pen awaiting her fate.

We used to be a Treatment Foster Care Family specially trained to offer youth nurturance, support and opportunities for new learning, through a more focused approach than that provided through standard foster care, until they can return home or until a permanent (adoptive) home is found. But now we are a Sponsored Residential Provider for one adult with room for one more.
